Content drives star studded line-up from Astra Games

Astra will be using its expanded presence at ACOS to show a mix of exciting B3 and Cat C product. The company’s B3 offering is led by Big Bonus Wheel a compendium style product which is in Astra’s VIP Lounge cabinet. Claire Peet, Sales Manager at Astra Games stated: "Developed by the Astra design team, VIP Lounge Big Bonus Wheel enables operators to be part of a three year game cycle with a new game added each month delivering an additional 36 to the start-up compendium.

"As well as having games from Astra there’s also content from Bell-Fruit, Novomatic and Harlequin which means that we are able to meet the needs of the entire player base. For example, the Novomatic dimension enables us to meet the needs of players who are accustomed to games that are more European in their style. Our contractual obligation to provide a game a month from across the Novomatic Group of Companies was a promise we gave at last year’s show and a year on has been fulfilled, providing the customer with a full range of different game genres including traditional, branded, and licensed. The strategy is working and we have examples of venues which have seen an overall uplift in income in their B3 areas following its introduction. Importantly it’s not a one month wonder, with the figures showing great consistency."

Following last year’s successful launch of Austin Powers, Astra is back at Olympia showcasing variations of the product both from a cabinet and game perspective. “Austin Powers was our showcase launch for 2017 and we haven’t been disappointed by the way that it’s performed over those 12 months.” stated Claire. "Novomatic UK has enjoyed unprecedented success with its licensed product and Austin Powers has shown the value of a powerful and immediately recognisable licence that’s aligned to a strong core game. The eye catching aesthetically stunning graphics and sounds that are available to us when we use licensed products gives it the wow factor and adds a different dimension to the game."
