Betting & Bingo – Where to Play
Know the Rules
Who doesn’t love bingo? We’ve all played at one time or another but for those of us who haven’t blotted a bingo card in a good long time, we should reacquaint ourselves with the rules. Oh, and unless otherwise stipulated, online bingo has the same rules as a bingo hall.
A player can purchase one or more bingo cards which consist of letter and number grids that run vertically and horizontally. The more the merrier, but more importantly, the greater your chances of having a winning card.
In a bingo hall, the caller will read the letter and number on the bingo balls that roll out of the cage. Check the letter and number on your card (B6 for example) and if it is there, blot it or mark it to keep track of the winning numbers on your card.
The letter B has numbers ranging from 1-15
The letter I has numbers ranging from 16-30
The letter N has numbers ranging from 31-45 plus a free space in the center
The letter G has numbers ranging from 46-60
The letter O has numbers ranging from 61-75
It should be noted that most games will declare a winner if a contestant completes five winning numbers in a vertical, diagonal, or horizontal direction. This is called a straight-line pattern.
Sometimes, the winning card must follow an X Pattern where two diagonals intersect from corner to corner. The excitement is sure to build in those games as they often last longer than the traditional straight-line games. Four corners is also a popular bingo game where the four outermost corners must be filled in order to win.
The first contestant or contestants to achieve the winning pattern is declared the winner. If two or more call bingo at the same time, the prize money is split.
Know Where to Play
Online bingo is growing in popularity and it is estimated more than two million people played the digital version last year and that number is trending sky-high, particularly with the global pandemic shuttering bingo halls and parlors across the nation. And while playing bingo at home is often preferable to sitting in a crowded bingo hall that can become too hot and sometimes too smokey, it is critical that you know where to play to get the best online experience.
As luck would have it, the premium bingo sites are also those that have some of the bestsportsbooks. Therefore, it is important to review the best sportsbooks to see which of those have bingo games. Not only can you play bingo but you can place a bet on your favorite sport like football, basketball, baseball, soccer, or hockey team while you’re at it!
Remember, you must do your homework before making a deposit with any sportsbooks whether it be to bet on games, play bingo, or both. If you win you must be assured you will get paid when you request a payout. The only way to distinguish between the exceptional from the nefarious is to check out what people say about them. Look for a site that will act as an independent source, culling opinions from players at those sites and conducting polls to categorize them.
Whether you are a bingo player or a sports bettor when you win you deserve to get paid. There are thousands of sportsbooks out there, and many with bingo options, but there are only a handful of top-rated sportsbooks that have a track record of exemplary customer service, rapid payout history, and an intuitive dashboard that makes it easy to navigate the site.
And one last detail to make sure that the site where you deposit your money is on the up-and-up. Make sure that you investigate whether or not their site has a random number generator (RNG) that is audited by a third-party company to guarantee that every game is being played fairly and squarely. Otherwise, the games could be rigged and that’s not fun for anyone except the site making all of the money.
Remember, there are plenty of trustworthy sportsbooks that have bingo on the menu but you need to find them because it’s one thing to sweat the game…but never the payout!
