Leading UK touchscreen entertainment provider launches cheat-proof quiz app

The UK pioneer in touchscreen entertainment has launched ‘Pronto’, a revolutionary interactive quiz app that’s set to erase serial cheaters for good.

Mediatheme created the quizzing game on ‘The Entertainer’, its touch screen entertainment system that provides instant access to lots of games, music and quizzes, as well as bingo and Karaoke.

The idea behind Pronto, is that users playing in pubs, social clubs, holiday parks, leisure centres and even cruise ships, can download the free Pronto app on to their mobile phones or tablets from Apple’s App Store or Google Play for Android devices. They can then connect to The Entertainer’s WiFi network, before the host fires out questions from The Entertainer’s system directly to their devices.

With more points being awarded to players who click the right answer the fastest, there is no time for those who try to cheat by searching online for the answers.

Murray Rorison, head of operations at Mediatheme, said: “Quizzes should be fun and competitive, but unfortunately digital technology has enabled players to cheat by searching for the answers online. At Mediatheme, we say not anymore!

“Pronto is a communal experience that gifts more points to the teams who answer quickest. Speed is the key and will ultimately stop those serial cheaters who ruin the fun for everyone else.”

From just two up to 40 users can play at any one time and can take part in picture rounds, music rounds, match the pairs and guess the number rounds, with the option of having the questions asked from a quiz master or The Entertainer’s automated presenter.

Murray added: “No other touchscreen entertainment system sells an interactive quizzing game like Pronto as part of its package, so it’s unique to us. Its cheat-proof formula will make it the future of quizzing.”

Founded in 2002, Mediatheme is backed by an experienced team of product development engineers, who ensure the range of products in its entertainment and jukebox systems remain innovative business propositions for its 370 customers across the UK.
